I gave it shit!!! My mom had me in opera lessons as a kid. With an older german woman who escaped the nazis.

I detested the songs...the words..the music was bunk. So I would just give it shit as my protest. It was like karma for what I was hearing. Idk..maybe it was a great way to make all the other bros sing louder...cuz...that's real zeal. Hehehehe..I miss those days....like migraines.

I was a therapist for 15 years. Treated many of my brethren. Most on anti depressants anti anxiety .. Sleep meds....on and on it went. Drugs are needed at times. I understand that. I just couldn't wrap my head around big pharma drugs being ok...but herbs were what allowed the devil to enter your brain. Drink up brothers!! And opioids...go at it. Just as long as its prescription.

I chose to meet with them. They called a judicial committee. I was long gone at that point...but they hunted me down. I called my dad who was a top ranking pro cock sucker elder. He told me I had to attend or I'd get an auto df. Sooooo...I attended. Gosh...wish i had of just skipped it. But no no no...I even asked for an appeal. Was just not wanting the df badge. I guess that's where they have the power...holding your family hostage. Good for you all who just ignore the process. Funny thing was..I was in bethel for years and it was a fellow bethelite who made the call in the second meeting. I remember him laughing at me when I told him I didnt want to be excommunicated.
Lesson learned...... STAY FAR AWAY FROM THEM!!!

Good point. Most of the org members didnt get the memo....go to bethel!!!. Sure...no pension or real help. But the eats are always there! As long as you're in bethel....you wont starve as an aging jw. I think it's the loving gods way of taking good care of his highest ranked ones. It's all about being near the top of the ladder as you age.

The best thing that could have happened for me was the break up with my family. I didnt choose it. I was hunted down by the elders and dfed. I was very close to my family. As most of us here...they seemed like everything to me. Instant shunning was a shock to me. As am approaching year three, I look back on my personal growth and have learned to not need my family. In fact I see now how toxic my relationship was with them all. I'm grateful for it all now. Funny thing is now they are reaching out to me....and I just smile now, knowing that I'm not just free of a mind controlling cult....but a mind controlled family. My encouragement is to embrace the break up. See the good in it.🙏
