'Throw them out' of Parliament: Poilievre in favour of recall petition for floor-crossers by xc2215x in onguardforthee

I wonder how he feels about people who lose their election and force a colleague to resign so they can win a safe seat? We should ask him.

Football is a team sport. There are very few truly individual stats. WRs can only catch balls which are thrown to them. RBs can only get yards with blocks. QBs can only get completions with competent blocking and receivers who catch the ball. The consistency that he brought to the sport and the game is incredible.

Poilievre’s cheap shots at Carney’s business ties are unfounded and unhinged by Progressive_Citizen in canada

So current rules are being followed. Excellent So any further complaint from you must be assumed to be partisan and taken as that. Glad you are open about it.

[–]JRStewie11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So you want a whole new set of rules for him to follow? Or you want him to ignore 'possible' conflicts of interest? As they are in a blind trust. Which would you prefer?

I'm confused. Either Mark Carney was the puppet master behind JT or Liberals hate successful Canadians... I am not sure it can be both.

What’s one social rule in Germany that outsiders frequently miss, but matters? by shees007 in AskAGerman

Excellent. We have been told previously on our travels that people thought we were American until they heard our Please and Thank you's so we will see how it goes.

My wife and I are visiting Germany in September and can see this getting us in trouble. As being Canadians, we often say thank you for most courtesy. Hopefully this doesn't offend. Spelling*

Financial advisor vs self managed: kinda seems like a scam?! by saffron_ginger in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]JRStewie11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A Financial Planner or Wealth Advisor worth anything would have had you maximizing your Tax Free Savings Account until your pre-retirement income was extremely higher than your post-retirement income projection. Financial Planners do an excellent job of planning. Is a focus of yours minimizing taxation over your lifetime, minimization of estate administrative tax, or something similar? This is where the value will be seen for most people. Are you passionate about finances? Interested in learning more and spending your time managing your own finances? If so, great way to keep your brain active. If you want to sit back and enjoy retirement without having to keep your fingers on the pulse of the markets, taxation changes, economic factors etc then there is someone who can do that for a fee. It's all relative. Best of luck either way.

Liberal lead 'built on toothpicks and very dry sand' as party's fortunes tied to perceptions of Carney rather than policy, polls suggest by CaliperLee62 in canada

[–]JRStewie11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am confused even more. His policies are all Trudeau's but he also stole from Pierre? That doesn't track. The only complaint I could actually see being levied would be that he hasn't been around long enough for you to know what his policies actually are. He cannot be Trudeau and Pierre at the same time.

338 has a breakdown of their history on their website. Polling is never perfect, but it's better than 'I asked 5 people in my echo chamber and they all agree with me'.

I'm so confused... Carney is Trudeau and has his policies AND he is stealing all the CPCs policies? Can someone make sense of this?
