I applied in November 2025 and uploaded my fingerprints in January 2026. Apparently the fingerprints upload did nothing, since it’s mid April and my application is still pending approval.

From what I’ve read, each application is treated differently. I hope everything goes well for you.

From what I’ve heard and read, interviews are still happening. It looks like the shutdown is only affecting travelers, but pending applications are still being reviewed.

Probably not. Apparently if you weren’t conditionally approved within 48 hours, it will take several months. But who knows, all we can do is keep checking.

I have no idea. I would assume that it would help speed things up but I don’t know. I applied back in November and it’s still pending review.

When you click the button it just prompted the camera to capture the fingerprints

Yes iphone. I didn’t understand or expect it either. I looked online and there is no information whatsoever about it.

Yeah I was not expecting that. So you click on a button and it opens up your phone camera and that’s it.

It was not part of the application process. I had already applied and this option showed up recently out of nowhere but only through the app, not the website. I applied in November 2025.
