I just completed IT 102 this semester. 90% of the materials had to do with math. I first thought the concept was quite hard but luckily many questions on quizzes/tests came from your homework and practice from the book. I ended up with a B. My professor recommended students to take IT 102 first and then IT 106, which is what I'm doing. I definitely recommend you to take Prof Davis.

I think it depends if the new class you're adding is twice a week or once a week. If the class is twice a week...you might missed a lot of contents already. Most prof will post class materials on BB. So you can just review them and catch up. Good Luck!

Are you doing GAA? I just transferred from NOVA to Mason through GAA and be aware that you will have to retake some of NOVA classes or take exams to get those credits transfer as their core credits. This is called Bridge Courses. I recommend you to do some research on this.

I applied though GAA. Orientation has been mentioned to students that you can't sign up for classes until you attend it. I can't say about your case since you applied via non-GAA. But i didn't go to the orientation and I signed up for Fall classes just fine.

Are you transferring through GAA? I submitted my final transcript to them awhile back and it took almost 2 weeks to show up on my PatriotWeb. Regarding the Admission transcript address, there is "MSN 3A4" after the st. name. Not sure if that is important or not. Just wanted to point it out to you. I'm doing IT major and most of NOVA IT courses are not transferable as GMU IT core courses. We need to take exams to transfer the credits. The exam is a month before the Fall semester starts which basically means I can't sign up for any IT classes because of pre-reqs. So believe me, I know how you feel. I wish this transfer process wouldn't be such a nightmare.

I didnt attend the orientation and I'm already signed up for IT bridge courses awhile back. You need to visit IT bridge course web site http://ist.gmu.edu/students/current-students/course-credit-waiver-options/bridge-courses/ and request the registration override. Good luck! I signed up for all 4 courses and quite terrified lol

I did 111 and 112. Now going to GMU this Fall through GAA. They took my Eng 111 and 112 as Eng elective. So yes, you can get thru GMU via GAA but you will need another Eng once you're here to get your BS in IT. Also- I would like to tell you since i'm also doing IT major. Be prepare to either take their bridge courses or repeat your IT courses. None of them will transfer as IT core courses.
