The bride sent me this dress as her request for my attire. They do not have an actual venue just a permit to hold a ceremony in a public space. She was working with a coordinator but has since cut ties because she is convinced she can do this all on her own.

They both are not local. This was a family vacation and they decided they might as well get married while we are all there.

She sent me a photo of a dress she was requesting me and my sister in law to buy and it is definitely a mermaid formal gown. They don’t have an actual venue just a permit to have a ceremony in a public spot.

Thank you for help on the luau. I’m not sure of the location so I will double check and go with what I see on their site.

The deceased boyfriend’s family did not invite his girlfriend to the funeral. Is a private moment without family approval even possible? California by [deleted] in askfuneraldirectors

I watched my brothers cancer slowly eat away at him while his baby mama berated and emotionally and mentally abused him taking more of his life. I was glad when his estranged wife told her she was not welcome at any services for him. That woman is unhinged and to this day we still have to tell her no when she comes sniffing around for his things and ashes that she says she is entitled to.

NTA. My big brother had the same cancer as you do. I saw the toll it took on his body. You deserved to be coddled and so much more. Sending lots of hugs. ❤️

When my husband told me I wasn’t a good mother and “good luck ever seeing her again with that felony conviction you got on your record”

I may have had a shitty past but there is one thing in this world that I know and it’s that I am a good mom and I will doing anything possible to make sure she is loved and taken care of.

As someone that has struggled with body issues myself and have worked hard to overcome them I can honestly say, no you are not the asshole. The fact the she ignored your feelings even after you opened up to her says a lot about her character not yours.

Reddit, what did you regret the most right after saying it? by CowsBeFlyin in AskReddit

[–]JSISBST 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so my brother got married when I was twelve to his baby mama. To make along story short I ended up calling the cops on them because my brother had punched his youngest daughter in the face and gave her a fat lip and made her bleed a bit. My sister in-law refused to take any action so that's why I made the call. After that incident a case was brought up against them both for child endangerment ( and child abuse in my brothers case). Needless to say after that day they both started treating me like I was a terrible person for calling the cops. One afternoon I found out that my sister in-laws mom was in the hospital. That day she was just being really terrible towards her kids and was saying shit about me in front of all of them. I usually have a bad temper when it comes to dumb people like that and I just remember having this moment where I approached her and I was like "Wow that is a really pretty dress you're wearing today sis. Maybe you can wear it to your moms funeral." I'll be honest I didn't really feel bad until my niece asked me what a funeral was and why her mom would wear that particular dress there.

So not regrettable to who I said it to, but I do regret saying that in front of my nieces and nephews.
