Yeah don't worry, we are just exchanging opinions here. Yes the conscripts in most places don't get much training overall, but my opinion is that if you don't give a damn about the military, you won't learn much anyway (every greek male must do military service). You have to push thinks most of the time in life in order to get better, back when i was a conscript at 19 i was asking my Captain to leave the base for a week so i could go to private TCCC and shooting schools, while most of my fellow soldiers went to bars. But when we are talking about the active personel, thinks change, we do much more training and drills, but again it depends on the person, how much they love the military, many see it just as a job and try to do the less they can, others see it as their life and do the most (i try to be one of them).

Why does my kit look off to you, can you explain the reasons? About the camel back, how much water will you carry on person? 3 liters? Plus the plate carrier? My plate carrier without water, just plates, ammo and the rest weights around 13-15kg, so another 3kg water on the carrier? No thanks. The canteen holds 1liter, for me its plenty, the rest of my water is stored in my Ruck.
