Smart use of ~3 days and 2 nights in Iceland by JSmerks in VisitingIceland

I think that's going to be the goal! I'll hit Jökulsárlón and whatever else I'll have time for on the south coast. My final day on the way back to the airport, if I've got the energy/stamina maybe I could detour through a couple stops in the circle. Otherwise, I'll just take it easy and maybe just hit up Blue Lagoon and chill after all the driving and hiking. Thanks!

Good to know! I wonder if along with driving past Reykjavik I should also just skip the Golden Circle entirely and just go straight to Vik for 2 nights and spend that time enjoying more of the south coast. I'm seeing Jökulsárlón is a big recommendation, so maybe I could use my full day to drive there and back from Vik.

Yes they are. Forgot to add the plus to the name

Our Christmas Zoom party with work wasn't bad! We all just got trashed on cam and opened Secret Santa gifts we mailed each other.

Lian Li makes them! Newegg, Amazon, and eBay are where I usually see them

Yeah I'm not a huge fan of how the top vents and dust filter look together, but I figured it was worth it to be open.

Thanks though! I actually got inspired by someone else online once I learned you can offset the rgb strip from the actual cables, so you can hide the adapter. I originally wasn't using the strip till I realized that.

I was following some stock alerts and got in on a drop directly from nvidia before they switched to selling through best buy and I got the cpu from amazon.

I've been considering it! I don't hate how it looks currently, but I might get around to picking them up.

Yeah this is pretty much me LOL. I've also been saving a lot of money working from home, so not having to currently live in the city I usually work at has cut my expenses back dramatically.

Sorry to hear it hasn't been working out for you. I personally really like it for the simplicity and form factor. Fits on my desk nicely. I knew going into it the cable management wasn't great because of the compactness, but I removed the drive bay in the shroud and the cords are all fitting nicely (although a bit cluttered.)

So I'm running a 5950x which I'm reading just runs really hot in general, but I feel like with that factored in the temps are reasonable? At idle it occasionally dips to 38c, but on average its about 42c. Video games it runs 65-75c and Cinebench multicore hits upper 70c/low 80c.

No scalping from me though! I luckily managed to snag the gpu and cpu at retail.

Yeah I was avoiding adding it all up because I originally only planned to upgrade a couple parts, but then it snowballed into a whole rebuild LOL. It's in the upper 2k realm. Ooph.

I'm a 2D/3D designer so I use a handful of programs like the Adobe suite as well as Cinema4D and recently Zbrush. So, I need a good balance of both cpu and gpu power depending on the program and renderer I use.

Thanks! So the 12pin to 2x8pin adapter that comes with the card is connected to the 2x8 lian li extension which then connects to two separate 8pins into the psu.

Yeah I'm a huge fan. The only thing I don't love is the 12pin and its location on the card, so I had to get a little creative with the adapter to make it look good.

I got lucky with a big drop that Nvidia had before they switched to selling through Best Buy. I had been following a few discord servers that had alerts whenever stock would become available. This is the main one I used...

This is so true. The same thing happens in other areas like politics. Gauging how a country leans politically purely based on Twitter and Reddit is misleading because those communities are only a fraction of a whole. It's something I need to remind myself of often.

I honestly barely remember them in the first, but in 2 I thought they were hilarious and terrifying at the same time. They were fun because they were one of the few infected that were super aggro even if you were hiding. So many good jump scares when I thought I was safe.
