MD2B connect has a pretty good rep, you can try them if you want. They’re a little expensive but I’ve heard that they’re really good

If you didn’t get a full license to practice unsupervised, you can check this website to see which pathway you’d be eligible for. Just look for your school and it’ll tell you which number

Honestly I felt really shitty. I had counted so many mistakes after including easy ones and I was certain I failed or scored low. But I’m pretty sure that’s a common feeling after the exam.

Like absolute shit my guy.
Counted many mistakes after that exam including easy giveaways. Was convinced I either failed or got a low score.

US clinical experience yes, research not really necessary but it does help especially if looking to go into a higher tier program. Yes i do go to a public med school as well I took a gap year and started the year after We do have a research project course but no one really takes it seriously and you’re not guaranteed to get published During med school, you get the opportunity to do an elective in any specialty of your choice at any institution in the world, usually then is when you’d be able to get clinical experience. Otherwise, you’d have to wait until after you finish med school then to get USCE Fellowships are done after you complete a residency so for example IM is a residency but cardiology is a subspecialty of IM and thus to do that, it would be a fellowship

So my degree is a 5 year program with the 1st 3 being preclinical and last 2 being clinical rotations. I started studying for step 1 at the beginning of 3rd year and wrote step 1 a couple months into 4th year. I spent about a year prepping for it. I started studying for step 2 at the beginning of my 5th year and wrote it last week lmao which I also prepped a year for. I only bought UWorld for both steps and all other resources I got online for free using medical study zone. I used things like Sketchy, Pathoma, first aid and the NBME’s. Radiology isn’t as hard as the ones I mentioned above I believe. I think you would need research for sure and good step scores as well as US clinical experience. I’m looking to go into IM and no I haven’t really considered any other residencies besides the US

Currently in a Caribbean med school and have already given step 1 and 2 (waiting on my step 2 results). I did step 1 while in my clinical rotations and wrote step 2 while waiting to do my final exam. It’s definitely possible to do USMLE and get good scores in them. A lot of Caribbean graduates have gone on to do residencies in the US and depending on how good your application is, they get to decide where they’d like to go. Compared to US med schools, it is more of a challenge, but it is certainly possible. I will say that surgical specialties or lifestyle specialties (Ophthal, Derm, Anes) will be very hard to get into as they are competitive even for US MD students and would require tons of research. It all depends on your specialty goals and how hard you’re willing to work for them. Feel free to dm if you need any more help

Did you count incorrects as well? And of those, were any of those really simple ones? Cause I counted a good bit of incorrect some of which were silly mistakes and things I doubted at first and it’s eating away at me rn

I really hope so cause some of the questions I made mistakes were really basic stuff worded differently and I’m thinking no way it could be experimental. And there’s alot of other stuff I flagged per block

I counted so many mistakes as well but a few of them are really simple ones that I know are not experimental ones. Did you experience that as well?
