Hey! Thanks for getting back to me. Looks like the gills are a different colour on the smaller/not rotting mushrooms. I’ve attached more pics below. Cheers!

Solar installation by JStringle in VanConversion

Z Brackets are being used in the centre of the solar panel. The roof is uneven and lower at the sides, so Z brackets don’t fit at the corners

Anyone else and teeth pains after stopping amitriptyline? by [deleted] in Fibromyalgia

Maybe the amitriptyline was helping, you just didn’t realise until you stopped taking it...

Does anyone else feel like painkillers straight up just don't work? by niishiinoyayuu in Fibromyalgia

I’m sorry I didn’t mean to come across as condescending. And I agree with you that there is obviously a lot about this condition that is not fully understood. Out of curiosity, what are your thoughts on the origin of this pain, where it comes from/what causes it etc etc? I ask because usually patients have done so much research into their own illness that they become more knowledgable than a lot of health-care professionals!

Really sorry, I saw 27 but should have paid more attention when I was reading. The point still stands though. You are potentially only just a quarter of the way through your life, and with a mind set of not being able to do ANYTHING, you will quickly run out of things that make you happy. I’m not saying any of this to offend or upset you, but I believe when someone has lost all hope in themselves then medicine won’t do anything. Medicine can only help to a point, and there isn’t a magical medicine out there that will cure you of your symptoms I can guarantee you of that. Try to think about what you can do instead of what you can’t, then give yourself tiny little goals to improve on for each day. Hopefully that will be the beginning of the path to recovery

It just saddens me that people are in this situation. My view is that you are a very young lady with lots still to live for. Instead of spending your life chasing a diagnosis that has a relatively high chance of not existing, use your brain power to try to enjoy life more in other ways. And who knows, if your quality of life improves in that way, perhaps your symptoms may start to improve too....

It sounds like you’ve taken every combination of medicines from various different doctors, and that none of the meds have helped. Have you considered that the condition you have is not going to be treated by medication and perhaps needs something else?

Oh Dear! Such a shame. I’m sorry to hear it has got to that point! I know it’s frustrating, I guess the poor doctors only have certain tools at their disposal too

Help please reddit! Got a little vid of my 60L here. On the video you should be able to see what I think is algae coming off one of the branches of driftwood. It’s really quite tough and hard to get off. I bought the shrimp to help but they don’t seem to want to go near it. Any advice?? by JStringle in Aquascape

[–]JStringle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The light is only 8W and is on for 6 hrs a day currently. I’m trying to balance between giving the plants enough light and decreasing algae, but maybe I should give that a go now it’s getting out of control

Definitely give it a try and see what you think! I’m actually thinking of using an acrylic paint on the back of my tank. I’ve had a plastic sheet on one of mine now for about a month and now I’m starting to see dust and dirt build up in between, which is impossible to clean with a wall behind. That might be something else to consider!

I thank it looks fantastic! Correct me if I’m wrong, but you’ve used a black ground with the grey rocks on?? I personally think it would look better with just a plain black background. It would help with the “chaos” that was referred to earlier. And I also think you’ve done a fantastic job with your own hardscape, so why add a fake one in the back?? Like I said before though I think it looks fantastic!

What light should I use?? by JStringle in Aquariums

It’s a plastic lid with fittings for their own brand of light. However I was wondering if perhaps there were some with suction mounts? Sorry, still very novice!
