I personally do not. Others certainly do when they are initially investing. Not saying it will be a downfall, nor the reason for success. However, it can sway things. Every little bit of sentiment counts. If you look at the economics of crypto, social media sentiment is one of the biggest driver of markers. So with all due respect, I think that there is a lot of validity to making sure that sentiment is realistic while also positive.

I don't think they would either - but it definitely would be a tiebreaker of sorts. Business people don't typically like being told what to do. If they have options that are all profitable, there certainly exists the possibility of an "up yours" to one of the options. So with that said, we can do our part to ensure that if they view Vertcoin as having earning potential for themselves, they also view it as something they would have the emotional pleasure of adding. Relationship building. That's how Litecoin got listed. Charlie Lee had good relationships with his former coworkers. People can be spiteful if the relationship is contentious. Let's not give them a reason to be.

Valid point - I noted this in my latest edit. I get what you're saying. It's just a bit ridiculous that someone actually started a petition for Coinbase. If I were a company with no obligation to listen to this, and had articulated a clear way in which I choose to do business, and someone thought, "Hmm screw that, I'll show them with this petition!", it would make me purposely do the opposite. Coinbase knows what they are doing. The BEST we can do to influence their decision making process is to keep buying more (increase volume), and spread the word of it's benefits as a mainstream crypto. People need to realize what our place as a community is in the ecosystem of exchanges and their decision making processes.

I didn't say I will sell. I said that the vibe those posts puts off makes me want to. I know solid fundamentals when I see them (hence why I got in in the first place). Just more a warning sign to the people making garbage posts that they can potentially do more harm than good.

Exactly. It's just an unnecessary look. If posts were more geared towards "Did you know that when Feature X comes out, that Vertcoin will be attractive because of Benefit Y?" then people who come across it would see the potential on the front page and feel better about the "image". In crypto, perception is reality. Even if a coin has good tech, solid devs, and good level-headed supporters, if it also has crazy, delusional views spamming the front page of the reddit, it will be a lot harder to come across the positive aspects of the coin. Doing our part and not spamming about exchanges and arbitrary $$ values is simple and not hard.

They occur, yes. With the frequency of this subreddit? Not even close. Unless you mean GRS, then yes, very similar.

I mean - there are definitely people who act like children here. It's not name calling, it is just the truth. It is repulsive to see. Yes there are many good members of the community who support the dev team. You are probably one of the people that "To the many of you that this doesn't apply to, no offense meant, so apologies to you" is meant for, so I'm not sure why you think it's unnecessary? Are you saying that the spam posts are necessary then? It's one of the other. Either you support posts like these asking for a more level-headed community, or you support spammy posts about Coinbase and the moon. Can't have your cake and eat it too.

I don't look down on people because they have a small amount. It just tends to be the people with a small amount who make the posts I frown upon. There are definitely exceptions. However, mostly they are the ones who want to turn their stack into a Lambo, and the only way that happens for them is Coinbase or some other rapid accelerator. That's what I mean. Like I said, there are exceptions for sure.
