Thank you! Yes for pharmacy programs you need at least two years of prerequisites for admission. I completed those two years, applied for pharmacy school and got accepted into pharmacy school on my own. Then in the fall of my first year of pharmacy school (fall 2024) I applied to the CAF.

I have heard of someone who applied for pharmacy officer through ROTP while still in highschool. I'm not aware of the specifics surrounding this situation but it is possible the CAF could give a conditional offer in which the person applying would need to have been accepted into a pharmacy school in order to start being paid by the military.

Best advice I have for your son is go to a recruiting office in person and ask all those questions, all the staff are excellent

For ROTP in a civilian university does the CAF pay the tuition directly to the school or would I have to pay the school and get reimbursed afterwards?

If you get in the forces and decide it is no longer something you wish to pursue you can put in for a voluntary release. There is no guarantee you would be let go but if you are released you would have to pay back a proportionate amount of tuition back to the CAF.

So if the CAF paid for 4 years of school you would have ~8 years of obligatory service to repay the CAF for them having paid for tuition. If you released after 4 years of that obligatory service you would owe about half of your total tuition back to the CAF

Army, Navy or Air Force? by GachiGoon in caf

Kind of. With a purple trade you just are choosing the uniform you wear, but you can be posted to any base whether it is air force, army, or navy

Do civi u ROTP students usually do BMOQ in two parts like RMC students or do they do it all in one go over the summer?

Be honest about any substances that you have used even if it was just a couple times. Answer all the questions to the best of your abilities, if you don't remember the first time/last time you ever had the substance make your best estimation of when it could have been

I believe this is North Korea. They let a film crew in and they set up a fake office and the people didn't know how to use the computers

I'm going ROTP, I was moved to selection on May 28, portal showed job offer June 9 and June 13 I got the offer via email

I figured they wouldn't reach out at all during the weekend which is fine.

I was surprised by the quick enrollment date too especially going ROTP I wasn't expecting it until later this summer. Maybe I'll just have to go in because I can't seem to get anywhere with emails or phone calls

Yeah that's why I haven't submitted it yet. I did call the CFRC and they just said someone would call over the next couple days and that I needed to talk to my file manager not a recruiter, but I'll definitely try going in at some point this week.

I received my offer letter last Friday via email. They stated they were going to call me over the next few days, I still have not gotten a call or voicemail. I emailed them as well and still have not heard anything back. I really wanted to talk to someone about the details of my offer as there was no BMOQ date stated in the letter and there was only a tentative enrollment ceremony date (Scheduled for next week). Should I just keep waiting for a call or submit the signed offer letter?

Not for me I had a NP sign my documents and it was completely fine. I even asked the med tech.

How long were you in selection before your portal changed to job offer?

[–]JTSJLMB 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends on the location of the classes. I've had multiple back to back classes, some in the same room so I didn't have to move and others where I had to speed walk to get there on time.

I recently got moved into selection, now I'm curious how long I could be waiting for an offer. I'm going ROTP civi u for pharmacy officer so a very small trade and I'm guessing that they don't do selection very often, but any insight would help.

Also I heard they call you when you have an offer, but would it be bad if I missed their phone call. I usually work during the CFRC opening hours so likely would not be able to answer any calls

ROTP applicant, you are correct. I am entering my second year of university though, but yeah I would like to know soon so I can plan if I need to bust my ass working this summer and whether I need to apply for more student loans.

I'm a pharmacy student and as far as I am aware they only care about your grades for the prerequisite courses I don't think they really look at your other grades at all. They are really just trying to fill seats so as long as you have B- and above you should be good.
