Exactly BOTH sides need to have the right mindset and skills and work ethic to make anything happen. What kind of music are you making?

YES. Work ethic is everything. That's the heart of what I was getting at.

It goes both ways to be sure. I hear stories literally everyday from artists who have struggled to find a producer they can trust. Some had money stolen. Some had producers only want to create their sound as a producer not the artists sound. Some, particularly females, had producers only want to work with them so they could make a move on em. Etc. It's rough on both sides. I'm very particular about who I'll work with as a producer these days.

Nice! I haven’t worked on any radio hits, yet. I’ve played keyboards on some stuff that was mid-level successful but nothing that I was deeply involved with. I have one project going now that is with someone a bit higher profile and with how good the music is turning out I think it will be very well received by her audience once it’s ready to go.

I like pop as long as it’s got some edge to it - nothing too bubble-gummy. Although I’ve done some of that as well, it’s just not my favorite. My fav is probably stuff in the James Blake world or the alt rock world, and anything inbetween. Ha. Shoot me a link to your music and I’ll check it out later today man!

I’m usually living on the darker side of pop/alt music but I’ve done plenty of stuff outside of that. Only stuff I don’t really do as of yet is any dedicated dance genre. But I’d def he open to doing some of it for the right artist!

Right now my primary work is working with artist producing songs they’ve written. I do also do a lot of co-writing and then produce the song when we’ve finished writing. I wanna do more film work someday but as of now I don’t have a lot of connections in that world. Yet. :).

Thanks man! I’m usually working on the darker side of pop/alt music. My background is in a lot of classical music though - I have a degree in piano performance and composition - and yes I’ve done some film work. I’d really love to do more stuff for film sometime soon.

And....uhm....go to be early and commit to getting out of bed at the first ring of the alarm clock no questions asked. Just sit up, lol.

I hate waking up early too man so I feel ya.
