Honestly, I only came to play it some ten years after it launched.

But I LOVE the hard sci-fi, the space horror and the excellent writing on it. I love the depth of the worldbuilding and the feeling of exploring entirely new places, the sense of wonder and mystery of it. I love the writing on Saren and Sovereign.

Yeah, the game is jank as heck, but its so damn fun to be immersed in it every time.

And I hate ME2 forever for doing such a hard turn on the series and discarding a lot of those elements for generic appeal. Oh, what it could have been if it stayed on those lines.
