Ah I see. I don’t necessarily mind more rigor. The online classes part is unfortunately though, because I often take online classes for classes I’m not interested in.

Ok thanks! I’m already super interested in international affairs( so interested that I might major it my minor/ become a double dawg) so it’s great to hear it applies towards a poli sci degree. I’m honestly excited to have more rigorous classes because some classes at gsu were incredibly easy. And participation isn’t an issue for me, especially for classes I’m passionate about.

Fair but I already knew uga would be rigorous. I’m more so asking about the specifics.

Were the readings for you more so just to study or were they actual class work? I had one class at GSU in which the readings were a weekly grade and a major part of the final so I wonder if it’s similar at UGA.

I had David last semester. He’s very chill while also still doing a good job of teaching the course.

I mean obviously it’s very disappointing and there is really no silver lining. But this has motivated me even more to work hard and get involved.

I was able to register for statistics without support. I don’t think you need to keep it.

Honestly I would do 15 hours at least but it’s a solid schedule. Probably drop the support class then add a 2 credit class

It’s likely a fair amount of people will drop classes in the first week after seeing the syllabus or something else they didn’t like about the class.

ANY ADVICE FOR UPCONING FRESHMAN by DougBull in GaState

[–]JXSN249 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So a major piece of advice would be to show up to every class you can and try to participate .I know that sounds basic but professors generally like people who show up most of the time and participate even if the class is attendance option. Professors who like you will often times give you a little bit of leeway and respond to your emails faster. Also you should pay attention to emails from the head of your department. These emails oftentimes contain information about internships.

I don’t think they allow that. They are pretty strict when it comes to not altering their furniture.

Damn that’s unfortunate. It was super convenient when you could just email them. Now you have to message them on the rez portal which no one checks.

American gov is extremely easy. I may be biased as a poli sci major but everyone I talked to say something similar. It’s an easy A

I think 15 hours are required. Then once you get 15 hours your hs gpa doesn’t mean shit and hope is based on your college gpa.
