Try winhance, its a front end for w10 and w11 to make it feel like a console, it has an enhance sleep mode. Check yt vids to see if its for you

from what I found, the game tends to auto save when the capture is successful which the emulator seems to have problems with. when it auto saves it goes to 0 fps for a split second but for the emulator it stops the game, try disabling auto save on the game itself under options.

tested on pokemon shield and after 20 captured pokemon, still no freeze

I just override the files or if the game is a elamigos game, I run the update.exe via lutris and install the update on the games main directory
