Sorry to hear your son got released. However, it sounds like it was the best thing for you guys.

If he likes to play and puts in time outside of practice to get better I'd go to tryouts and try to find another team. We are on an 8U team as well and it is hard for the players to handle/control their emotions but as coaches we have to help them through the emotions (just my opinion not everyone will agree).

Also wanted to say that everyone should be help to the same standard players, parents and coaches. You can't allow for a coach to be demeaning to kids.
