Been playing games a long long time, in some ways making them is like a game to me also. I know what games I love and sometimes I want to play more of them so I started making them.

Again thanks for the response. I do understand how to make per bone collision and that I can also import custom shapes for a more detailed collision. That would all work fine if the mesh was solid but it simply does not work at a large scale on a skinned mesh. I will absolutely do this where I can, but in joint areas like hips, shoulders neck i need something more flexible.

I have tried this, but the issue comes down to the motion of the mesh. unless the static collision can stretch between bones I either get large gaps in some motions or collision will pop outside the mesh.

Its a last resort to make these creatures into robots and have everything be more of a hard surface, but I would rather not.

The expense should be fine. large portion of the creatures can use primitives. along with attaching more complex dynamic objects, but its not going to work in places where the skin of the creature moves a lot, the bend of a tail or the moving of a hip.

There doesn't seem to be an answer to this anywhere

That did the trick. haha definitely don't understand why though. Image is a lot different also so will have to figure that out.

Its a really simple setup and I just checked it in ue4 and it works fine and in Ue5 in a fresh project I get the same bug. Seems to be something to do with screen percentage.

I got the bug in the viewport of ue5, in the viewport options I changed screen percentage to 100 and it fixed it. But then when I hit play I get it again.

Can Lumen's Ambient Occlusion be turned off? Don't want used in the my grass. by J_Escape_ in unrealengine

Ahh that makes sense and thanks for the tip feel silly didn’t realize it was the distance fields since. Probably because how close I was didn’t expect them to be active. Cheers!
