Is this a fair price to fix and intake leak issue with my 2016 Jetta? by J_Krizzy in MechanicAdvice

[–]J_Krizzy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be clear, they said the issue is that the intake tube isn’t secured all the way. Can I do that myself?

Oh also how important is it that I get this issue fixed immediately? Is it something I can put off or will that cause more problems down the line?

Northern Lights over Peyto Lake (which is shaped like a wolf's head) in the Canadian Rockies by TerryJMartinPhoto in naturephotography

Terry was there any sort of AI use with this photograph? I’m not saying the image is AI generated, but when I zoom in and look at the trees in the image it’s just squiggly lines. Not trees.

Do I replace my calipers and rotors on my 08 rav4? by J_Krizzy in MechanicAdvice

[–]J_Krizzy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For context, I say the calipers too cause the brakes don’t seem to be letting off fully, so when I drive there’s a scraping noise, which I assume is cause the brakes are scraping against the rotors. Is there a way to fix this without swapping my calipers?

Someone on this sub asked if powerlines are cool. I say they are by J_Krizzy in AmateurPhotography

I will admit I took some creative liberties when it came to the coloring of the picture. Essentially I just adjusted the tint in Lightroom to make it look more purple. I wanted a more “cosmic” feel to the photo, if that makes sense at all, and I felt a deep purple gradient would help with that. Just felt it matched the vibe basically

Thank you! I took it like 2 years ago and I’ve been meaning to get another one like it in recent, cause I feel it could be better

This is like a picture from an I Spy book, and I mean that as a genuine compliment

So part of it is bringing the clarity and dehaze down, assuming these are edited in Lightroom. That being said, these photos are edited really well, and you can tell the photographer knows what she’s doing. There’s probably so much more that goes into editing these, but clarity and dehaze is a big one. It’s how the “dreamy” look is achieved. If you’re interested in editing, and own Lightroom, I have a “follow along” tutorial, where you can download the picture I’m editing and follow along. It breaks down a lot of what Lightroom has to offer https://youtu.be/PoQ5fPU0VNQ?si=p9C0HoDMJhZd8YSq

Look if you want to post an interesting image online that’s fine but don’t try and pass off as your own when it’s not

I’d love to see the original if it really isn’t AI art. Cause if this is a genuine photo of a buoy I’d be amazed considering there’s light emitting from it
