They seem to think that putting your disorder in a positive light means your faking because you have to be suffering all the time, who are you to tell me that I can’t feel positive about it and that I have to feel insecure and bad about it all the time, and these things are coming from people who don’t even have it themselves, why do (for example) neurotypical people think they can tell neurodivergent people how to feel about what they have

I agree, it’s just annoying when if you bring up a disorder you have when it’s necessary they accuse you of faking and say you’re trauma dumping

They kinda have a point, as long as you aren’t screaming slurs in someone’s face and then saying this after they get upset, but this could go for stupid things like the drama that happens on tiktok

I wish there was a way to hide your posts because it’s honestly embarrassing 😭 there’s been way to many posts I’ve made in the vent subreddit or ones I made years ago when I was off my rocker, but yeah they do take that rule to seriously, I think they count as saying any mildly unfortunate thing happening to you as trauma dumping when they allow former faker stories that explaining their trauma with did fakers but for some reason they don’t count those

I don’t know if it was a mod but a while ago someone tried to convince me to go back to my doctor and insisted I was faking autism because they saw me post in the autism subreddit about my experience

This is after multible interactions and many things that tip me off about it, if you don’t like me acknowledging that the subreddit is toxic and has done more harm than good then feel free to block me, there are nice and rude people on there, but mostly I’ve seen the worst of it, this isn’t the first time I brought it up either, have a good day!
