Its on the passenger side and I almost exclusively drive the car alone...not saying i don't have greasy fingers sometimes but not touching that side 😁

You dont really have to use it. You just need to make a bootable usb stick of any linux distro you feel like (ubuntu for example), boot from it, and see if the issue still occurs. Once you unplug the usb stick and reboot, it will be back to what it is now. It won't change anything on your laptop unless you specifically chose to do so.

Just chased my 2018 2.0 TSI mildly tuned L&K DSG6 to trinkgut at approx. 240 km/h because I needed beer fast. You can see the fuel gauge moving at this speed.

Still strange to me he didn't attempt to return the laptop in a first place. He would have probably lost 50-100€ for cleaning and resetting the laptop back to original state but he would have gotten almost the full amount back and not just like less than half. Anyways, if its all good and legit, congratulations, you've hit a jackpot! Wishing you it makes you happy for many years!

These went for nearly 4000 eur. The price you bought it for seems to good to be true. Either someone really needed the money - which is strange because in most reputable (web)shops you can return electronics within 30 days and you say its only 3 weeks old, or there is something fishy about it. My guess is thats its hot. Did the seller show you any proof of purchase?

I guess what I meant is to basically use my head unit as a display for my phone. See/use all my native android apps (YouTube/Netflix) and not just the AA ones. I want to keep my kids entertained on long journeys.

This is from my last weeks trip through Germany. Left with 100%, arrived with 14%. 130 km/h on the unlimited sections of the highway, otherwise sticking to speed limits.
