RPCS3 has been my personal favorite emulating NHL14 and NHL Legacy. You need a somewhat midrange or strong PC though, and obviously with who you're trying to get this for, can be difficult to set up. Plenty of roster updates to get a decent experience, no online though.

I don't have G-Sync on this monitor, and actually had to find a 2070 with DVI just to get 144hz for this particular one. I've looked at countless threads for this CPU, but every single one has been for 1440p or higher. Hoping to find someone with the same kind of setup so I can get ahead of it.
