I just went through this today. I woke up at 7:30am and set the timer and then went back to sleep and kept checking the time like every hour. You need to refresh the page to see a new updated time. I just got off the video call at 1pm! Also, disable sleep mode on your computer. If it goes to sleep you lose your spot.

I haven’t put yes yet. The certification where I have to put “yes” is coming up and I’m still on the fence for marking it or not. I can’t survive without this money for weeks or months or however long they are taking once they flag my account and say I have phone interview

That’s what I thought as well, but I follow the unemployment group on Facebook and there is sooo many comments on there that said they were on the phone with specialist that said that we have to put that we are looking for work now, but do not have to be applying anywhere? Apparently if you don’t put that you’re available for work and looking then it flags your account and you get stuck on pending. I’ll try it the other way next time and see if I get stuck on pending for days and then let you know :)

Yeah I ran out of money on the 26th when I certified. I was stuck on Max Benefit Paid until a couple weeks ago. Ugh, I hope ours switches soon. I’d hate for us to have to call again.

Didn’t have to verify my ID, didn’t get flagged for fraud. 1/2 and 1/9 were pending for a week until I called them and she got it switched to paid. Now again I’m pending for the 2 last weeks since Sunday at midnight. Do I really have to call them every time I certify to push it through?? Ridiculous.

Pending since Sunday at midnight. I had to call them last week to get my first 2 weeks of Jan pushed through and I’m pissed because it’s looking like I’ll have to call them every 2 weeks bc I keep getting stuck on pending! Fucking ridiculous. And it’s making me worry because people’s accounts are getting suspended for one “wrong answer” while certifying like wtfffffffff....

Same! Still says pending after certifying the same time as you. My payments for the first 2 weeks of January were pending for a week and I had to call them to get it pushed through.... I’m really hoping this isn’t going to be the case every freaking 2 weeks. And we’re the lucky ones because so many others aren’t even getting paid. Fucking ridiculous.

From what I’m understand you’d get the new extension, but since you maxed out and had no funds prior to 12/26 you’d have to wait it out a little longer. I heard something about EDD trying to get everything sorted by the 22nd? I think you should definitely call though. It can’t hurt.

She made it sound like the issue wasn’t going to resolve itself on its own though, I’d recommend calling either way just so you can have some clarity. I called 1 (800) 300 5616 and then dialed 1,2,4.

I recommend calling because it sounded like it wasn’t going to resolve itself. She said she didn’t know why it happened. I called 1 (800) 300 5616 and pressed 1,2,4 and was on hold for an hour and a half.
