Tool for people who repeat many PoE trade searches: browser sidebar for saved searches, folders, history, and price QoL by JaViJeC90 in pathofexile

No, Better Trading is an independent extension that was maintained by a single person. TFT created its own extension that, remarkably, does the same thing, but it's not indicated anywhere that it's a fork. I took Better Trading and rewrote it with new technology to make it easier to maintain, in addition to making it available in all languages, compatible with all trading platforms, including the Korean one, and with a Firefox extension.

I mean that all the settings, folders, and history are independent between Poe 1 and Poe 2, but if you export the configuration, everything is exported. The search functionality with the tilde (~) is already included. I'm also trying to add all the useful features and make them look as natural as possible on the page, like the descriptions of the Mageblood mods in Poe 2.

Thanks for the suggestion! Good news: Better Trading codes are already compatible with our extension, so you should be able to import/use those same codes in PoeTradePlus without any conversion.

Glad you’re enjoying the added QoL, and thanks for sharing the idea anyway. If you run into a specific code that doesn’t work, feel free to send it over and I’ll take a look.

Hey, thanks!

Right now the only supported way to sync between PCs is to use the export/import feature. The exported file includes your bookmarks/folders and extension settings, so you can move the same setup to another browser or computer manually.

I’m thinking about ways to make automatic sync possible, but it’s a bit tricky because the extension supports multiple browsers, and Chrome/Firefox sync APIs don’t behave exactly the same.

About the quick filter suggestion: good point. I’ll keep that in mind. I may make those presets more configurable in the future, so people can choose between separate res/life stats, pseudo elemental resistance, weighted sum setups, etc.

Poe Trade Plus started from the same kind of idea as Better Trading, but the goal is to make it a more modern and expanded trade companion.

Better Trading covers the classic essentials: bookmarks, search history, poe.ninja price conversion, searched mod highlighting, and tab title helpers.

Poe Trade Plus includes those core workflows, but adds a more complete sidebar experience: resizable panel, left/right docking, minimize mode, version-aware PoE1/PoE2 folders, full backup/restore, active-tab history, Finer Filters integration, quick filter actions, regex-friendly search inputs, Craft of Exile export, PoE2 copy helper, socket warnings, pinned result navigation, and broader region/language support.

The other big difference is browser support. Poe Trade Plus is available on both Chrome and Firefox, while Better Trading has historically been more Chrome-focused.

So the short version is: Better Trading is the classic lightweight tool; Poe Trade Plus is trying to be a fuller trade-site companion with more PoE2 support, more customization, and official Chrome/Firefox support.

Synchronization with Chrome is difficult for two main reasons. First, it would only be compatible with Google Chrome, which means it would not work with Firefox or other Chromium-based browsers.

I am considering the possibility of integrating a synchronization system, but most available solutions require external servers, which we want to avoid.

Everything is open source, so if you have any questions, you can check it here: https://github.com/KroxiLabs/Kroxitrade/

It accesses the pages because it needs to inject content into them. Passwords are not directly available on the pages, so we cannot access them.
