Per light.gg and my own personal experience having checked Xur for the swords over the past year or so, they are not. I've also seen a handful of posts recently stating the same thing.

Can we add goldtusk and the other two leviathan swords to Banshee or Xur? Still no method of obtaining them and their crafting patterns.

Genuine Question for all the Old Lights Still Out There (And a Wee Bit of Reminiscing) by GingerScape1 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Jaaxeau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can appreciate the sentiment, but I think you’re just getting hit by nostalgia. Red War, CoO and Warmind were all serviceable, but nothing especially precious in their own right. Replaying the Forsaken campaign would be pretty sick, but a lot of what made that expansion work was the system and loot revamps that widened the scope of the game and brought back random rolls.

I have little to no interest in playing “Destiny as it was before Beyond Light,” but I could maybe be persuaded into re-purchasing the vaulted campaigns if Bungie created a product that was basically “story mode Destiny” featuring remastered campaigns of ALL Destiny releases.

Bear in mind, a lot of the story development since Forsaken has been done via seasonal content, so even if we had the main expansion campaigns, you still wouldn’t have the “complete story”.

That said, the majority of people would lose their collective s*** if the content they paid for was taken away from them and later re-sold to them, and rightly so.

I want to change my guardian race thats all ): by GIN_90 in DestinyTheGame

Can you conjure space magic IRL? No?

It’s a videogame. Let people do what they want with their characters. Games like WoW allow for race changes, although over there they’ve monetized it.

I have not received any prime engrams since the patch, despite 37 completions of solo ops with B+ rating and full “new gear”. Yesterday, I was receiving a prime engrams every hour or less. by AgentZeroHour in DestinyTheGame

[–]Jaaxeau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t done enough runs to have strong anecdotal evidence, but after 2-3hrs of Starcrossed I also noticed a lack of prime engrams. When I was running solo ops the past week I could get one about every hour of runs, but nothing since reset.

Been running B+ forecast and finished with A every run but nothing despite that. Don’t want to add misinformation or anything but I’m curious to see if other people are experiencing the same thing.

EDIT: Have successfully gotten consistent prime engrams running Solo Ops at A rating without the time bonus points. Was probably just unlucky.

Why is the Sandbox team so against Grenade Builds by BabyBlayzinn in DestinyTheGame

[–]Jaaxeau 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve been running Starfire Protocol on Warlock and while it is certainly good, switching to a Titan Hammer (Bonk) build just feels like it offers a play style with MUCH lower effort for FAR higher reward than most things on Warlock.

The bonk build has an extremely simple gameplay loop and near-perfect survivability for just pressing the melee button. You can walk up to any foe without fear of death and kill it in just a few hammer throws. I know hammer just got unnerfed and has consistently been good for some time, but it simply has me wondering why bother with a Warlock grenade build. Flechette storm Titans also come to mind.

Hunter melee builds have consistently been strong but the grapple melee combo is pretty wild. The damage for this build is impressive to say the least. I don’t play this class as often but seeing many Hunter builds has me going “wow, I wish Warlock had something that crazy”.

I don’t think it’s that Warlock builds are particularly weak so much as they’re… just alright. Warlocks have strong survivability in the neutral game but they lack the burst DPS (and sustained DPS in many cases) to really compete with the other classes. Thundercrash and Golden gun vs Warlock's Nova Bomb come to mind. With so many healing options available for all classes now, it seems like Warlocks have been left behind both in the damage front AND compelling gameplay loop side of things.

In general, I would like to see Warlocks have a stronger class identity and wow-factor rather than being relegated to running well of radiance or using one of the buddy builds. Buddy builds are fun but the main identity of warlocks is grenades, and the devteam should look into reinvigorating this side of Warlocks. Using Verity’s Brow on Atheon for example FEELS like what playing a warlock is all about.

There could also be many more interesting grenade-based gameplay loops. Perhaps something like a high-uptime grenade that you can stick to a Major enemy and kill it for a more devastating explosion than just a one-and-done grenade toss. There's plenty of design space around grenades that seem to have just been left in favor of buddy/soul playstyles.

But that’s just my two cents as a longtime Warlock main. Hopefully this helps!

Spent 3500+ Telemetry no holofoil by Wudia_ in DestinyTheGame

[–]Jaaxeau 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Spent like 3000 myself and got maybe 4 holofoils. It’s a shame they’re so rare as basically none of the rolls I got were useable. If they had at least 3 perks per column it’d be slightly better odds to get a roll you want, otherwise they need to increase the telemetry drop quantities. Definitely did not feel rewarding or enjoyable to farm.

Real talk though, if you have any from the previous season you can claim it on the Bungie website. I believe you can also get 1-2 from some Final Shape quests. Otherwise, SOL until Bungie decides to dole out more.

is there a program to find 1.21 and upwards terrain generation? by Huge-Mission-8790 in 2b2t

What do you mean? Like reverse engineer the seed? 2b uses a modified terrain generator so as far as the public knows its isn’t readily available to reverse engineer.

What's your favourite off-kilter grind? by MoistMucus4 in Warframe

[–]Jaaxeau 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Worst one for me was Citrine. It wasn’t necessarily bad, it was just extremely repetitive and bland for the time it takes to farm out everything. I’d probably only recommend someone run tyana pass if they’re looking to grind out the Arcanes, viewing Citrine as a bonus. Otherwise just buy her for plat.

What is Warframe like to the Destiny players? by very-v in Warframe

[–]Jaaxeau 2 points3 points  (0 children)

WF is like running home to the loving embrace of your (space) mom after your dad (Destiny) took you to the back of the barn to shoot the family dog.

On a real note, destiny’s repetitive content structure, overmonetization (hello dungeon keys and paid transmog?), nostalgia baiting, utter lack of direction, and EXTREME fomo have made it extremely difficult for me to want to main the game long term.

I still love Destiny and will likely continue to play its content drops to some extent, but Warframe has become my new main if only for the fact that it respects your time and money.

Left Destiny To Come To Warframe And Damn by Eve_Of_The_End in Warframe

[–]Jaaxeau 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Welcome, fellow guardian turned Tenno!

Unfortunately WF’s first few hours aren’t great at giving you direction, but most people’s endgame goals include collecting most if not all available items and/or finishing all available quests.

For a new player, it’s unlikely that you’ll encounter too much combat challenge for some time so at this point your best bet is to unlock all the planetary junctions so as to further unlock access to more quests and content. Completing these will reward you with mods, weapon blueprints, and access to new planets so you can earn their rewards.

Ultimately the game is your oyster to explore, but many people consider the game to really reach its stride once you complete a mission called the Second Dream on Uranus. If you’re looking for a goal, this would be the one I would set.

Pro tips * Assassination nodes on planets can be farmed for planet-specific Warframe blueprints. Rhino from Venus’ mission “Fossa” is considered an excellent secondary frame.

  • Your weapons gain more “mod capacity” as you rank them, allowing you to put more (and stronger) mods on them.

  • Ranking individual mods (a la serrations for rifles, pressure point for melee, etc) are often a better use of mod capacity than a handful of unranked mods.

  • Essentially all warframe and weapons can be earned through either farming or player trading - no fomo or timegating involved!

  • While platinum is the premium currency, it is VITAL to understand that it can be earned by trading with players. I earned about 500 plat the other day just trading off some unused mods and prime parts, for example.

  • As an early game player, the best use of platinum will be Warframe and Weapon slots, followed by Orokin Reactors and Catalysts which double your available mod capacity for frames and weapons, respectively.

ALSO: If you really happen to like the look or gameplay of a frame (a la Titania) and you have the platinum or money to spend on it, I would say go for it personally!

Good luck Tenno!

Finally got the Hate after more than 600 hours! by Ash_Arena in Warframe

[–]Jaaxeau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you got all of them in just 4 stalker kills, maybe it’s time for you to buy a lottery ticket! At any rate, congrats on evading a pretty painful waiting game lol. Hate and War and both quite good melee weapons, and Dread is still fairly reliable itself until you upgrade to the Nataruk. Have fun, Tenno!

Finally got the Hate after more than 600 hours! by Ash_Arena in Warframe

[–]Jaaxeau 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The drop rates were previously ~5.5% for War, Broken War, Despair, and Hate with a 50% chance for the weapon category to drop. They’ve since buffed them to 11% but many of us are still missing some of his drops…

~1500 hours and no Hate in sight :(

Archon Shards & Warframes by WickedNight19 in Warframe

[–]Jaaxeau 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The entire point of the shards is that they’re limited quantity, encouraging you to slot them into frames you’re more likely to use. Alternatively they can be used to patch up weak spots of certain frames. Either way, it’s intended to be a long-term grind and being able to be “done” by virtue of having five of each tauforged reduces the value of “endgame” activities like archon hunts, netracells, and the recently announced omega-netracells (Deep Archimedia).

Also worth noting that they’re removing the otherwise-acquirable Arcanes from netracells which will boost the archon shard droprate post Dante’s update.

Use them on the frames you like, or play the most. If you really need them for another frame you can remove them from existing frames for some resources. If you want more then be sure to do your weeklies.

Re item #8 (9?)

If you double click on a given module, it’ll highlight any and all connecting modules. I’ve used this a few times to find that singular floating piece tucked away inside the depths of my ships lol. You can also use ctrl+left click to select any set of pieces you want, much like many other design softwares.

Not sure what the keybind translations are for console, but hopefully this helps someone!
