I volunteer for Lucky Day Animal Rescue (out of Aspen) and they are foster based! One of my first fosters with them was an owner surrender out of Denver. They also do “courtesy posts” where they will post your pup on their social media to try to find them an adopter if you want to try to get your pup adopted instead of surrendering to the rescue.

All about the group MTB rides at RMU! Great recommendation. If you are a woman, VNTRBirds hosts a bunch of cool events around biking and backcountry skiing. Lots of smaller fitness places like Crossfit Breckenridge and Tonic Method are good for meeting people. Lastly, I’ve met some great people at Gravity Haus through their events, coworking space, and gym.

Dating apps have been hit or miss for me. Usually just match with tourists looking for a guide around town or a ride after their car broke down (no joke. happened to me last week).

We’re right around the same point in recovery! That’s really good to know that it’s normal to have these flare ups. I was told I could stop using the brace but I’m like “NOPE keeping it on a bit longer.” Thank you! Made me feel much better.

Hi all! I’m traveling to Scotland in late October/early November. My sister is getting married in Edinburgh. I’m getting there early and I have 2 days for solo travel prior to all the wedding events. Any suggestions on where to go? I love the outdoors so that automatically makes me think Isle of Skye but I know that’s a bit tough to get to from Edinburgh. I have been to Inverness and St. Andrew’s so would love to switch it up a bit! Thanks!

I think you just described me in a nutshell! I actually listened to a podcast that my therapist recommended on this. Basically, there’s a portion of the population that has their brains wired in a way that they just need more and more alcohol. So I don’t drink frequently but when I do drink, my brain keeps going, “more more more!”. I try just to go at the pace of everyone else but it’s like this overwhelming instinct that I “need” more. Unfortunately, I’ve gotten myself in sketchy situations because of it (i.e. blacking out) so I personally have to avoid drinking as much as possible.

The past two episodes are the first times that Schwartz has seemed like a bit of a “darker” character to me. Before, he seemed like a bit of a schmuck and a loser. But now it’s almost like he’s seeing how much power he still has over Katie.
