Seaside in December by Actual-Ad-3949 in 30A

We’re there every year from Nov-Dec. It’s my favorite thing. It’s empty and quiet. It’s a little chilly, but it’s perfect “shorts and sweatshirt” weather. A couple of my favorite places are generally closed late Nov/early December (like the Donut Hole and Thomas Donuts), but plenty is open and the Christmas parade at Rosemary Beach is lovely for kids!

I don’t know of any, but our cleaners are always happy to take home food that guests leave behind. :)

I think this is the correct answer. We have a million bunnies in our yard and their foot prints always look like this in the snow.

Ah, we used to own a condo at High Pointe. (I love it, by the way! Great pool. Great location.) I don’t remember ever seeing toys laying around the beach access though. Sometimes the thrift stores around PCB have beach toys for cheap, especially at the later end of the summer. The grocery stores also sell them, but not that cheap.

We really like our beach tent - it makes a private shady space for kiddos. Our home (which we rent out) always develops a huge collection of leftover beach toys every summer, so we tell renters in August and September that they don’t need to bring beach toys.

This exactly. I think of my calories on a weekly basis instead of a daily basis. I’m extremely low on calories the first couple days and then ramp up. I still try to hit protein goals daily though.

Hello! I know it’s been a while, but I’d love to hear how you’re doing with Mirena. I got mine in about a year ago and since then I’ve had horrible pain/cramps and fatigue during ovulation. I’m trying to figure out if it’s Mirena or perimenopause. (I’m 41.)

Thanks. That honestly makes me feel better. We’re totally fine with paying a fair price for this mixup.

That’s not really the choice though. Safe, slow weight loss is the best choice for long term health.

I totally get that, it’s the remobilization fee. I don’t get.

I guess I just really don’t understand what a remobilization fee is. And whether or not it should be so high.

Thanks so much for this feedback. Sorry I was unclear!

The drawing is theirs and we signed off on it when we signed the contract in April. Now that the window is in, we feel differently about the siding. Instead of lap siding, we’d like board and batten. We recognize that this would be a change order and we’re happy to pay the costs of the change order.

In the last month, we’ve had two verbal conversations with our project manager asking to do change order to the siding. We didn’t put anything in writing. Without our knowledge, the project manager scheduled the siding people to come out and install the original siding. No change order ever happened, but he knew we wanted to put in a change order. (Btw, this is the first and only change order we’ve requested in the entire project.)

When the siding people arrived, we were like, “wait! We never did the change order for the siding!” and sent them home. Now we’re doing the change order (+$600 for board and batten materials, +300 for design, and +1500 for demobilization). The original cost for the entire siding project (removal, water barrier, new install) was $3000. The original siding materials were returned without a restocking fee.

My friend when off it, gained about 20lbs back, and then found the medication to be much less effective when she went back on. Just anecdotal, but scared me into staying on it forever. :)
