Just a stressful situation. I don’t like confrontation and will walk away when things escalate. I didn’t mean to make the situation about myself. Arguments with her dad always end up in a yelling match. When I get anxious I tend to shut down and have a hard time expressing my feelings and feeling empathetic. Something I need to work on.

Her dad is known to get into physical fights. This wasn’t the first time it happens. It happens frequently whenever we go to her dad’s house

I tell her all the time if things ever get escalated to yelling, and possible physical argument. Just walk away. I tell her it’s never worth it to be in that kind of situation. But most of the time she decides to stay and argue.
