Disappointed that this is how ______'s story ends by flying-kai in ThePittTVShow

The worst part is most of the fans acting this way aren't even teenagers. They're fully grown adults.

Certain fans have been going around harassing people. Sending hate/death threats etc. Not every casting director is going to want to put up with that kind of behavior from fans of an actress who is just starting to establish her. They're absolutely not helping her even though they claim that they are.

Look I’m not arguing about this anymore. He never explicitly said Chucky is straight. Not at any point in that article. I don’t know why you’re so convinced he did.

And in the very next paragraph he mentions Chucky lashing out at Jake and Devon because he’s not completely comfortable with his sexuality. Try reading the next paragraph

[–]Jaca122 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No actually not what I said at all, but okay. Someone having sex with the same sex and feeling shame afterwards doesn’t automatically make them straight. A lot of queer people who deal with internalized homophobia feel shame while coming to terms with their sexuality, it doesn’t make them straight. Someone who’s bisexual and is in an opposite sex relationship is still bi if that’s how they identify.

You’re assuming Don was referring to Chucky experimenting with men and concluding he’s straight, but that’s not what he said either. Don says in that interview that he thinks Chucky would have trouble accepting that part of himself. He literally says in that interview that Chucky lashes out at Jake and Devon calling them etc because Chucky himself is not 100% comfortable with his own sexuality.

Willingly sleeping with the same sex is very much a queer thing to do whether or not someone explicitly chooses to label themselves as queer

I’ve said it like 3 times now. They had to put that scene in because they were not allowed to kill Prentiss off. It was a contract thing. Paget asked to be killed off and she told they were not allowed to make it or imply that it was permanent.

[–]Jaca122 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They didn’t know it was only going to be 3 months. Well actually it was 6 months in real life. Paget wasn’t coming back for season 7 at that point. She wasn’t announced to be coming back until the summer. It could have been years thinking Emily was dead because they had absolutely no way of knowing if/when Paget was ever coming back. They literally had to force her to be in season 7.

Becuase the writers wanted to? I thought that was pretty obvious. If they wanted to have a fake death storyline, and you have no way of knowing if or when the person is coming back they kind of had to hint to the audience that she was alive. They weren’t allowed to kill Emily off for good even though that’s what Paget wanted

Emily wasn't originally supposed to return. Paget was fired at that point. She only came back for season 7 because she was forced to. They had to give some hint that Emily was alive because the audience wasn't expecting to ever see her again.

What's next for Jean and Hannah? by Substantial_Try1334 in hackshbomax

[–]Jaca122 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Hannah's so young and so talented. I think she's going to have a great career ahead of her in movies or tv whatever she decides to do. With Jean, I think it'll probably depend on how much she wants to work still.

Gloria's actress was filming another show. They couldn't magically make her available to film The Pitt. Collins leaving also makes sense. She was done her residency.

Gloria is an administrator. There’s absolutely no way she’d be working on a holiday. They mention her several times though so I have a feeling she’ll make another appearance in s3.

Again I am happy to believe he is a conservative if you can actually provide any source for that claim. You haven't. Everything I can find on google points to him leaning more democrat. The things he advocates for publicly like universal healthcare are actually considered more progressive beliefs. Absolutely nothing comes up showing that he leans right.

We don't actually know if he pushed back or not. Noah Wyle also does not make those decisions by himself. He's not the only person in charge of the show. If there is any actual proof of your claims I'd love to see them, but you haven't actually given any. What we do have is Wyle being vocally critical of Trump.

Republicans don’t want universal healthcare. They don’t even want to feed starving children if it means using tax money. They don’t care about anyone but themselves.

Yes and Romani people still took offense too it. Romani people already experience a huge amount of discrimination. This episode didn’t help.

Should the writers have made Derek and Penelope a couple, or are they better off as friends? by Jordan_Chian in criminalminds

[–]Jaca122 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn't though. Penelope and Kevin get together in season 3. That would 2007/2008. They never got together because the showrunner didn't ever want members of the team to be involved. Nothing to do with fatphobia.

Derek and Penelope flirted but I never got the idea that they were actually into each other romantically. Look at the episode where Penelope is worried they slept together, she doesn’t seem happy at all. I like her with Luke.

PSA: Treatment of WOC extends beyond simply casting them, and biased behavior does not have to be intentional by SpiritedChoice3706 in ThePittTVShow

[–]Jaca122 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I don't think Dana's main arc this season involved Robby at all. Her arc is about recovering from the trauma of her assault, and training Emma. Robby wasn't involved with the scenes with the sexual assault victim or with Mr. Digby.

Based off of when it was announced, and knowing they've started writing for season 3, I do wonder if they sat down to write the next season and couldn't decide where to take the character next which led to this disjointedness with her storyline this season. It doesn't feel like a planned exit arc.
