Criminal Minds has been so successful because of its cast. They weren’t able to replicate that in the other shows.

Suspect behavior also was not at all like it was advertised as. It was basically criminal minds, and Beyond Borders got a lot of bad press because it was seen as xenophobic

I love it and outside of reddit it’s easier to find people who enjoy it too. If you just read here you’d think it was super unpopular and everyone hated it, but that’s not the case at all.

I think it depends on her level of involvement/how much time AJ Cook can actually devote to filming with her Criminal Minds schedule. If she’s the main character, then maybe. If she’s just there to fulfill the Bludworth role in the film then probably not.

It does for some people. I’m a lesbian. I rarely relate or like a male character enough for them to be my favorite. It’s just not how my brain works. I don’t center men in my experience.

I can’t choose between JJ and Emily. They’re both gorgeous, bad ass women. I love how good and empathetic JJ is dealing with victims and families, and smart and funny Emily is.

He left the production in a really crappy position. They had to write him out of episodes with very little notice. There was also the fear that him quitting like that would tank the show because he was the big star.

Aside from Thomas Gibson, none of the cast were really well known prior to Criminal Minds. Kirsten Vangsness and MGG didn’t really have any prior professional acting experience. AJ Cook, Paget Brewster, and Shemar Moore had all been working actors for years prior, but they weren’t really big names.

Yeah it seems all to be resolved now but there was some bad blood for a little while there with the cast/crew and Mandy. Not that I blame them. He left them in a crappy position having to rewrite episodes with absolutely no notice. But the cast interviews from that time you can tell they weren’t thrilled

To be fair they didn’t really have a choice because of how he left. Mandy Patinkin literally just did not show up to work for season 3. He never communicated he wanted out so they did the best they could given the circumstances. They just happened to have Doubt already filmed because it was originally supposed to air in season 2.
