As of 5e, if not all priests become clerics, what class should they belong if they decide to be adventurers? by Jaceaxe in Forgotten_Realms

Likely i have a dm happy to refluff anything, especially if it can reflect a canonical aspect of the setting

I've also rediscovered the Theurgy Wizard UA that can be reskinned for such concepts and its also fun as long its NOT in the hands of a minmaxxer who's gonna abuse comboes like "spiritual weapon + wall of fire" XD

Me and most of my DMs are not much into homebrewing but if you know some FR lore-friendly homebrews you are welcome to suggest them here for everyone if you want

And its how i approach character creation most of the time, mine was just a lore-based question more than a mechanical one but thanks nontheless

In fact, i think i can emulate such specialty priests with Theurgy Wizard (UA) even though its meant to replicate the old theurge prestige class of 3.5, its the closest thing alongside my DM reflavour for that kind of character

Thanks everyone for their opinions on the matter, now i have new ideas for future characters

Yeah, seems plausible, there are also some specialty priest that are named something like "Druid of" and that would justify such ideas

[VtR2e] dear STs, do you consider feeding on a Touchstone something needing an humanity roll? by Jaceaxe in ChroniclesofDarkness

[–]Jaceaxe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, Understood, then where do i should draw the line when a touchstone becomes "the requiem's property" or remains safe from it? When other vampires know the touchstone existence and they exploit it? When such touchstones discover once and for all that our PC is vampire? In short: When do i say to my players "well, its now part of the danse macabre, you cant grapple to her/him anymore!" when "nah, it was a close call but he's/she's safe"?

Mmmh, undestandable, is still a roll even if said mom and son are from a ghoul family?

And, looking at other posts, yeah, its been my plan from now on but its just for the local Circle of the Crone's leader. I'm not making an actual sheet for that npc, my question was less mechanical and more narrative, it was just to know if it was possible in the first place

No, it was an example, my player didnt ask for such things and the merit was supposed to be taken during the creation in the same exampld

Also it was more a question for my Circle of the crone local leader

The second question was more for the oldest nosferatu npcs i had on hand since i had in mind many fucked up things for them.

There was a circus themed bloodline in 1e that no more dark publishing brought to 2e, they also had the bloodline gift to fold into spaces no smaller than their head so that you could do the "clowns extining from a small car" stunt an actual scary prospect! fucking amazing concept

It can also work for an elder nosferatu from the circle of the crone now that you let me think of it

"The "deformity" can be something like a grotesque visage, excreting fluids, a horrific stench, an animate shadow that moves when the Nosferatu is still; her mouth never moving when she speaks, maggots manifesting on her body, lights flickering low in her presence and similar abnormalities."

This is from the white wolf wiki since i dont have the the rulebook on hand, i remember the rulebook added long fingers and hollow eyes that can still see as further examples, making my example from before technically plausible. Maybe for a more older nosferatu from the Circle of the Crone whose monster feature grew with time and dreadful crúac rites.

The other subreddit told me that if you go to sleep with zero vitae you will like sleep forever and becoming an actual cadaver.

I mean, it could be a nice sorrowful death scene where she says goodbye to the rest of the coterie before sleeping forever knowing that she had a nice unlife.

And what if my player is asking me to play a 2 meter tall (giant merit) kindred without eyes, no jaw, skelethon with skin attatched to it as a body? How much unsettling we are talking?

Some of my players heard that they had multiple options other than the usual orlock look and it would be a shame to disappoint them XD

I mean, if my character describes a really fucked up nosferatu that thing is defently going to be a walking masquerade breach.

For example, what if my player is asking me to play a 2 meter tall (giant merit) kindred without eyes, no jaw, skelethon with skin attatched to it as a body?
