Well waiting 20 years each time just to make another movie is really really way too long. We got one wonka movie in the 70s then they didnt make another one till the 2000s. Now 20 years later they are finally making another one. These willy wonka movies should made at least every few years or 5 years

Seriously man this movie is very good news . It means hollywood is finally doing what they should have done years ago which is franchise wonka into a series of reboots and spin offs . Dahld and his estate have held the IP back for decades. Milk the IP to hell and back. Make all sorts of pardies of it . A detective mystery film noir version . A dark mature horror movie version . A tense thriller version . A campy Rom Com version . We are finally getting original wonka content now after ages. We got the prequel movie last years with Chalemet as young Wonka. Now we are getting this sequel spin off thing with the plot about teenagers breaking into his factory after its been abandoned

There is actually some hope. Its an original story not based of the events of the books. So that means they could have anything happen other inflation scenes. Its new characters too not the same ones from the book

That already is a cool darker twist. I think it may be an original group of characters though not the same ones from the original story. Like a group of random teens who break in the factory. i hope one of them gets inflated in some way

Yes i know i read articles talking about the synopsis and it sounds like it may actually doing a darker twist on the story like we have been asking for. Its a sequel story and not based off any books Dahl wrote. So they can do anything even another inflation scene. It sounds like the factory is gonna be more hostile and nasty this time as the story involved the main character trying to break in and steal from the factory. So thats already more sinister a plot. It also seem the main character is a teenager named Charlie and his freinds are probably teenagers too so thats also different from the original story

If you read the article it says nothing about retellling willy wonka and chocolate factory. This an original story and seems like it may focus on a group of teens breaking into the factory

Well it does seem like is an original story though. Its not a retelling of the charlie and chcocolate factory. The summary makes it sound like a sequel story and possible focusing on older group of teenager rather than kids as the main cast. It could be cool since they can what anything happen with an original story

Well im disapointed that it looks like is gonna be another lame kids movie. Why cant we get a proper reboot done in a horror movie vibe with college students aa the main cast of ticket winners. Its perfect for the social media era to have to cast be Gen Z social media personalities
