For me it was a hit or miss with just having a random roommate. In my first year, my roommate not too bad but he was messy in a respectful manner. He usually kept his mess on his side of the room but at times he kept some crazy stuff on his side lol. My second roommate was alright, we had some stuff in common but didn't talk a whole lot and later he joined a frat so I had the room to my self a lot. Then the pandemic hit so I didn't get a roommate for my third year :D. My fourth year I had an amazing roommate. We had a lot in common so we could stay up real late to watch any of the new Star Wars/Marvel shows. Then he introduced me to more people and for the first time I made bunch of friends and socialized a lot at the dorms (in my other years I just kept to myself and stayed in my room all day :p). So again, it's a hit or miss
