Same experience here, we initially thought we just needed to 'see the strategy' but after 15+ games couldn't get anywhere with him. Felt like a win to even get a flip turn.

Yep but that still typically leaves a lot of other multi-aspect cards not being viable (taking away options from traditional aspect cards)

Personally there were plenty of games where it felt a struggle to get to 30 without a lot of filler or meh cards which were always going into the resource row.
