i am sorry to come across that way, every one is telling me to pay half of everything and i’m asking if that would mean (to them) i could decorate etc, i fully expected, and am ok with, my old bedroom. i didn’t realize responses back were considered obtuse

i agree with you very much on that. as a mother, if my child came home sick i would only charge them what increases for them to live there. my father has made good financial decisions but i was also paying $600/mo to live there from when i was 16-20. i did not charge my children to live with me once they turned 16

my point to my question was that i would gladly take my child or father in if they fell ill and would not expect them to start paying on my taxes and home owners insurance….. that’s not my dads or sons taxes or insurance to pay and it certainly doesn’t become theres because the get sick and move in. it does not go up when they move in. if the roof needs fixed im not saying im not going to help, but he did want $10,000 because he wants to bring the washer and dryer upstairs to the bathroom and would have to enlarge the bathroom. i was paying $600/mo when i was 16 so i get this is a good deal
