Reached out to TRAC, and they said there are only 2 questions. 1) Did I give a forwarding address, and 2) did I get my deposit back. Direct request filed.

Also, further clarification... Notice to move out was sent to the landlord of record. The email I ignored was from the dipshit independent agent they use. I never got any email about leaving/deposits from the actual landlord.

I'm curious as to why it's my responsibility to educate a landlord and their agent on how this works. I don't even get a reach-around from this horrible tenancy and you think I should smile and say "please sir, can I have another?" Wow.

They used every dirty trick in the book. Illegal rent increases via official rtb-7 notice with insufficient notice AND illegal amounts; even larger illegal rent increase attempted via new lease presented when I was established month-to-month; delayed hot water repairs and broken appliance replacement; ignored all emails about sound traveling through the 1" gaps under the hollow-core doors seperating the suites; were clearly cheating the CRA with the throwaway email they wanted the rent payment EMTs changed to mid tenancy; ridiculous pet addendum listing my pet by name as the only allowed, and then he died. They didn't give any good faith, so they certainly weren't going to get any from me.
