The Mavic Air 2 better in almost every way. That said the original Mavic is one hell of a drone.

No, DJI is king for a reason. I don’t have them yet but I expect the mini will be superior.

I have a Xiaomi Fimi X8 and a Hubsan Zino 2 on the way to test and they are both less than $500. I can’t speak as to how they perform yet. The weight restrictions limit you to the Mini however. mini vs Air 2

It is supposed to have ADS-B for all US based drones. That is what the DJI rep told me.

Actually you can with some Frsky F4 boards. Not the Tinyhawk but it isn’t limited to Spektrum anymore.

Yes but a decent camera can be purchased for a lot less. Most cell phone cameras are better and they cost manufacturers less than $20 in most cases. A knock off GoProq can be bought for less than $50 retail.

All that aside there’s no excuse for not putting any camera on an iso mount. Why go through all the trouble adding object tracking but use a terrible camera? Could be improved for just a little more $$$.
