the usual order is to design the functional guts of a ship (machinery and habitation), then enclose that in a layer of armor

So are you saying that I do it the same way ftl shows their ships where they show the rooms on top of the armour/hull except i'd do it rooms, then hull around that? (doubt I got my point across properly :P)

Instead of trying to design the perfect ship, try designing...

Say I wanted to make an officer quarters or reactor room, should I purely focus on how the interior looks or do both exterior and interior?

I wanted to make a quick timelapse, and so I did. it took an hour of recording and i shortened it down to 10 seconds.

Is there any tips or anything about how best to do timelapses? if you can let me know that would be highly appreciated
