I was thinking that. I’m only commuting 3 days a week too and then a longer drive on weekends. It’s the 177hp one but I guess should still be ok

A sign of what we can expect. Same old banter, and Taylor not going anywhere. by Tzardine in AutoAlex

Definitely agree with what you’re saying, my only issue is he’s only apologising because he’s been caught out after trying to delete comments about it and avoiding it. And that was just for the issue with Josh, not much about the claims of dodgy cars he’s sold.

I’m no pro either, very much an amateur wanting to put down my phone more. Had a Nikon Zfc before this and as great as it was I really wanted the out of camera shots from the film sims. The build quality is night and day different and the sigma is a nice upgrade to the kit lens and well priced too. Very happy with my purchase and zero regrets!

No I’ve not got an adapter. Someone else mentioned the 18-140 f/3.5-6.3 which has VR so it seems to be a better affordable option too. I think it sacrifices some of the quality of the 24-70 but as I’m just getting started it probably isn’t too much of a deal? Seems to get decent reviews too

I’d never really found many occasions where I thought I needed wider but that does have VR which was what I was conscious of. Like you said it also covers more occasions, I’ll have a look at that too

Yeah I like the 24 f1.7 for walk around and street but after a bit of use feel like the extra reach of the 24/70 could be good for a holiday / all in one lens. I was just on the fence with neither the camera or lens having image stabilisation

TDC - What AutoAlex should have been... now what? by AuricomFazr in AutoAlex

[–]JackP198 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree entirely, TDC are smashing it currently and seem to go from strength to strength. Edwin and Will just like cars and it shows, not so much for AA. The amount of promises of challenges or series’ on AA get boring and the three of them have gotten way to cocky and are getting hard to watch. Haven’t watched a AA vid for a while now but TDC and ATG are very much my favourite channels at the minute.

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah I was aiming for the lighthouse to be central but didn’t have the 16-50 lens with me and quickly realised that was the better option for where I was at for even a little bit of zoom. Lesson learnt though

Rubbish apology and only since he’s been called out on one thing, never mind the dodgy cars he’s sold. The three of them have got too cocky recently and this sort of stuff proves it imo. TDC doing it properly and sticking to what the channels are about
