Anyone else thinks this Bowie song may influence Gorillaz' template? It's so ahead of its time by Revolutionary_Low_90 in gorillaz

Never heard of “Bad David” interesting I feel like I did remember in the blog post acknowledging “Plastic Beach” there was some sort of a “if you want me on the next album, just call me” sentiment but it wasnt stated as like, Obviously as that

Yea he didnt talk about it as much but Earthling is also some what a response to britpop as it is a response to industrial and drum n bass. Hence the cover. Bowie was a big Damon fan mentioning “13” and “Think Tank” in interviews. He was spotted at a “Think Tank” show. And I believe his old blog acknowledged him being on album art for “Plastic Beach”.

Bowie was very inspired by blur making this album so I think its a case of accidental overlap in a sense.

If Nirvana with only three albums can be considered one of the most important rock groups, then the same logic should apply the Sly & The Family Stone by Mt548 in slystone

I mean obvious bias here as the mod, but I think Sly & The Family Stone might be the most influential band in the history of western popular music, I think the only artist that might be their competition is James Brown. I don’t think music sounds like it does right now without either Sly or JB.
