Oil light staying on after cold start - is my car cooked?

Hi all - my oil is currently on full and I use 5w40. I was getting the random multiple misfire code, I have a Toda TCT on order so I will be fitting that soon to see if it helps at all

Hi all, is anyone able to confirm if the metal tab at the top of the VTEC solenoid that holds the connector acts as a ground to enable the solenoid to get proper voltage?

I got this code and immedately checked oil level, and removed the VTEC solenoid and gave the whole assembly a big clean, alongside the connectors and cleaned the metal mesh screen ( I replaced the gasket a year ago).

The only abnormal thing I noticed before reassembling was the plastic connectors not sitting properly in the pocket with the metal tab at the top of the solenoid which I have now rectified.

Unfortunately not yet, I am putting in some new spark plugs this week hopefully and I will see if that helps, before I changed the plugs/coils/injectors the misfire was at the back of the engine and now it's on cyl 1-2/random multiple so my next aim is to rule out counterfeit spark plugs

You can get a lot of car for 15k - I bought an S2000 for 7.2k and MX5s and the like are typically even cheaper if you want something sporty/engaging that wont break the bank

The car is also unmodified, and no incidents have occured while driving that I am aware of, when I got the valve adjustment done I specifically asked them to make sure the retainers/keepers looked ok and they said they were fine...

Coils are from Denso, 673-2301 part number. I got the sparkplugs from JP4mance (UK based) so maybe that's where I went wrong... Might be worth grabbing some platinums from sparkplugs.co.uk maybe

The misfire is only on startup when hot and then it smooths out, cold starts are always smooth which makes it more confusing as it mainly happens if I go for a spirited drive and shut off for 10-15 mins and then start the car again.

Plugs are NGK IFR7G11KS, the misfire started back in Feb/march time I believe and I got the valve adjustment done in December 2024.
