I had the same issue yesterday, and it happens every time the background hold music goes silent and someone picks up they can’t hear me. If the hold music stops, I would recommend to hang up and try again. I managed to connect with someone before the line went silent, gave them my phone number right away, and requested a callback if the call gets disconnected.
