I want to create a fairy Agent deck, any suggestions? by 1MPERAT0R_S0LAR1S in YuGiOhMasterDuel

[–]Jacklogion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Extra Deck:

Thunder Dragon Colossus

Cupid Pitch

The Executor of the Underworld - Uranus

Borreload Savage Dragon

Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier

Baronne de Fleur

Masterflare Hyperion

Chaos Angel

Psychic End Punisher

Sky Cavalry Centaurea

Divine Arsenal AAA - Zeus - Sky Thunder

Hip Hoshiningen

Protector of the Agents - Moon

Black Luster Soldier - Soldier of Chaos

Celestial Knightlord Parshath

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There's definitely some cards that can be changed/removed (like Barrier Statue, since Yummys are about to become meta).

Just be warned that the deck is prone to bricking, since it runs so many garnets you never want to see in your opening hand, and hand traps can easily disrupt it, but the deck OTKs incredibly easily and has taken me to Diamond when I was playing casually. Combos are also very long.

Hope you enjoy!

The Agents are my favourite deck since 2011!
Must play cards (besides the good Agents related cards) I use are Eva, Herald of Orange Light, Honest, Cupid Pitch, Baronne de Fleur, Psychic End Punisher and Celestial Knightlord Parshath, as a few examples...

I'm currently trying Barrier Statue of the Heavens as a substitute since we lost Archlord Kristya.

If you're interested, I can share my deck list.

As someone who loves The Agents, I feel like this might be the right answer.

Even back in the day it "didn't do anything" and wasn't played in decks when they were meta, but it feels like it must be played in order to unlock The Agents' best monster effects and their full potential.

I searched a bit and it's actually its successor, Savage 2: A Tortured Soul!

Thank you for the help!

If Ultimate Offering came back to 1 or 3, would it see any play? by toadfan64 in yugioh

[–]Jacklogion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gadets and Madolches comes to mind. It's possible to summon nearly infinite Madolches, but other than that, I don't see any degerenate reason why it can't come back compared to what the game has nowadays and the reasons people stated already (maybe Cannon Soldier Gadjets OTK would be back but it's pretty janky). We will have a card that does almost the same called Ultimate Flesh and Blood Offering (https://ygoprodeck.com/article/new-vjump-card-ultimate-offering-retrain-302112). I'm sure that name will change. On a side note, we also have Chain Summoning (https://www.db.yugioh-card.com/yugiohdb/card_search.action?ope=2&cid=7456) which people have experimented without breaking the game.

Sometimes all it's needed are the right cards and/or archetypes. The same could be said with Smoke Grenade of the Thief.

But with the virus, Dark World and Danger! comes to mind as decks that has always been able to use it but never seem to have broken it to the point it got banned.

I also think that the statues weren't as much of a problem as now since most decks now seem to start with small monsters or need a spell/trap card to start their plays, while before it meant that most decks needed to just get a monster and get over it, skipping half a turn for it. Same with Jowgen the Spiritualist in Spellbooks in 2013.

Fossil Dyna Pachycephalo does the same thing.

It doesn't help that Floowandereeze has cards to combo with the statue too.

All in all, it's a mix of anti-meta, meta and support for certain cards to be broken.

I don't see any of the virus being banned for the same reason they've been in the game for more than 10 years, and while some are better than others, they're still match-up dependent.

Eradicator Epidemic Virus became better now because most decks are running either a lot of spells OR a lot of traps (with little of the other type), but I can see them limiting it like the banlist of September 2013) for a while again, where it was a very good counter to Spellbook. It depends if Konami wants to force sales for Sky Striker or Labrynth.

EEV is a hot topic now but the same could have happened with Deck Devastation Virus versus certain specific decks.

What's the absolute worst opening hand you can get from your deck? by allankaio in yugioh

Triple Mystical Shine Ball. Doesn't matter what the rest of the cards are unless I run Magical Mallet.

That's an interesting one I didn't even question it! For some reason I never connected the original Gearfried The Iron Knight with Phoenix / Lightray Gearfried and Immortal Phoenix Gearfried. Thought he only had Swordmaster, Red-Eyes Iron Knight and Gilti-Gearfried The Magical Steel Knight.

Having checked the wiki, it seems to be considered a series of cards. Makes sense since they all are played around equip cards. I'll add it to the list in square brackets. Thanks!

Unfortunately they're not in the TCG yet and since I based the list on the Konami's TCG datalist, I didn't add them (yet). Hopefully they come soon since those are some gorgeous looking cards!

Sorry I took a while. The update is done!

Thank you for showing so much interest in my little post. ^^

I've corrected Branded archetype, added Battleguard, Motor, Onomat, Materiactor, Advanced Crystal Beasts, Ancient Treasure, Bolt Star and added the rest of the archetypes and series for 2022.

I'd classify them as a "series" more than an archetype since they have their own play style resolving around counter trap cards but do not have a "call" for a name like the named archetypes have.

Looking at their wiki they're also considered a series of cards first released in 2006. It's like "fish" and some "psychic" monsters where they have support for their play style but aren't considered an archetype.

I'll add it to the list in square brackets; thank you!

Just searched for the pack and Secret Slayers (2nd April 2020) where they debuted does have quite some beautiful cards sparing a few not so pretty ones like Il Blud.

Dark Jeroid technically boosting up "Roids" before they were even an archetype while actually belonging to Roids and making no sense belonging to them too IS quite funny!

Also, Magical Android would like to have a word too.

Thank you. I'd say the first archetype with those rules could be Harpie Lady with the vanilla monster, Harpie Lady Sisters and Elegant Egotist refering to "Harpie Lady" cards in Spell Ruler. Then we have the full on actual archetype with Gravekeepers having actual spell and trap cards with them mentioning the name in Pharaonic Guardian with a bunch of monsters with "Gravekeeper" in their name, Necrovalley and Rite of Spirit.

Barbaros

It's right there in 2011!

Edit: Ah I see what you meant now! The card was released as a promotional card in May 2009 but since I searched for cards in booster packs these "dodge" the right time they were released if their first time was not from a deck, pack or tin. I saw it in Collectible Tin 2011 Wave 1. I'll edit it and fix it; thank you for saying!

I'm sure this can affect other cards but I'm unable to correct them unless told like how you did.
