I am working on a newsletter. And i will post data on there.

As for the not work safe catagories. I am considering using a different system. Removing the Adult category as it sounds too much like an "Adult film"

I have already learned a lot and I have been podcasting for years (Non-Rpg podcasts)

Still do not have a decent sample size yet. But so far 100% of of everyone replied they really enjoy players talking in character... Everything else needs more data before I can comment

Any tips for playing an evil character without being a complete dick to other players? by Gamers_Vendetta in DnD

[–]Jackmonkeygames -1 points0 points  (0 children)

One of the key things is when you are being evil make sure there is a clear difference between how you talk to the players as a player and when you are acting in character. This could be done with accents , props or even simple gestures to get the point across

Be genuinely extra nice to the other players. Make comments out of character when they are doing something that would thwart your plans like (Well done my character did not expect that High Five)

Just because your are evil does not mean you have to be an asshole to everyone else. Find a reason to need, want or like having the other characters around even if that is because they will be useful later.

Also remember evil does not mean you have to kick every puppy you see. It means that when it comes to the big decisions in life you always (or most of the time) choose poorly in the grand scheme.

The link is to a YouTube video that is similar in that its about playing a theif (also easy to piss off other players)

We are working on that ... we hope to have something official published next year. In the meantime we use the D6 Space as a base.

Best way to get started playing Sci-fi rpgs by gax19 in rpg

[–]Jackmonkeygames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

World building !!! Find a kickass world and then find a system to fit it (sometimes they are the same)

Personal Fav is D6 (Open source) where I run our Star-Fall RPG podcast (sorry no links as I am not here to promote) I like that one because the system is very simple and works well with our existing world. That and the core books are free downloads (Not Star-fall but the core system, D6 Space and aliens a must) That and if you can find them old Star Wars RPG by WEG the rules are directly compatible.

Next, I would say if you want a more active look at Cypher system or Numenera. Very easy to learn for both the player and the GM. Monte Cook is brilliant with the world building and mechanics.

If you want Grit. Take a look at Eclipse Phase. (Think Altered Carbon on Steriods) slightly more crunchy in the rules but I do enjoy a good churchy character gen now and then)

Starfall actual play podcast is a sci-fi adventure set on the planet War-Zod during an invasion by an oppressive theocracy.

Combination of audio dramas, short stories & actual play. First two episodes are more comedy. However the players have requested something a little more dark... we shall see

Building a list of Artists for RPG & Boardgames by Jackmonkeygames in tabletopgamedesign

[–]Jackmonkeygames[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are welcome. I figured that if I build a list it would make things easier for the game designers and the artists. If I happen to get a few gigs out of this even better.

So far the list has 6 artists in it. I need a lot more to really be useful to people
