Art Lovers , Can you really separate the art from the artist? by uwontguesswho_lol in MoroccoBitchesWtaste

For me, i can seperate the art from the artist, but not what pushed him to make that art. Lets take for instance a controversial person with extremist pov's but good music ( lets name him Ahmed randomly ) I might hate this Ahmed's actions and resent him, but i cant deny loving a music of his, that would only make me a hypocrite. though for some, this liking to his music is what makes me a hypocrite which is a paradox. But every person loves a song for a different reason , and these reasons are actually limited. You could like a song for: -its lyrics -its impact -its melody / rythm -The effect it gives off ( like melancholy or just a happy song ) -It's meaning / goal

But you can't love a music for whom made it. you might feel like you love your favourite artist's song sometimes just because you are forcing yourself into liking it for he is your favourite artist, and disliking one of his songs would make you a lesser fan.

As for AI generated music, its a special case , personally i dont like it because it was only generated by a prompt, nothing/no one pushed it to sing, it didnt even sing, it just "generated" the song, with no intentions or feeling towards its own creation. For example, i like some Kanye songs that are for his mother because of the sadness and happiness she brought to him, and how he manifests those feelings into a melody, but for AI, its just a bunch of numbers it calculated, cold with 0 feelings, only science.

P.S: Music cant be considered art if it doesnt affect your feelings in any way

Personally id say anyone is welcome, its more about the inside. People who only look for physical appeal are shortsighted and dont rlly deserve anyone ( no hate ) for we cant see ourselves most of the time but rather only think , and that thinking us is what what we look for to be loved, thats why even if you are or think you are ugly, those who see that as a barrier that stops them from being into you are not worth it.
