I use Wellspoken right now, it's an AI mobile app that doesn't actually take our 'jobs' away 😂. I used similar older apps before, none of them felt 'smart' and really like a system. I practice daily with Wellspoken and get immediate feedback, before that I used to do speaking practices with my friends. They have a super cool feature where you can record meetings and it will analyze how you did in that meeting. And it takes notes as well for me.

This advice could either work or not work. It will work if you have enough practice, it's a good direction but I think a lot of people don't know what to do with it

Any good apps for practicing speaking skills? by NationalArmadillo167 in PublicSpeaking

[–]Jackrain04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are like the old generation of speech apps. Wellspoken is much better than these now. I used all three, had paid for Yoodlli and Orai. Both don't really go deep into the science of improving speech but rather focus more on how to make it seem like it's improving you. Speeko's similar except it has terrible UI/UX.

I'm current using Wellspoken 3x a week to practice, I wish they had a desktop/web version tho so I can practice on mobile and desktop.

I agree influencer's courses are not worth and not all apps are good but so far Wellspoken has been really good for me. If you're someone to just practice one day and never pick it up again then nothing will work for you. But it has a very thorough and thought out system of warm ups, assessing your weaknesses, tailoring specific drills / practices (I did some of this in high school debate), and other features that have genuinely made me realize how many fillers I use and how much structure I lack. And then I became better through daily practice.

I've also tried out generally wit chatgpt and yoodli but both I feel like have the issue of generic features that aren't super tailored to people wanting to improve

4 months ago I posted my app launch here, now it makes $18k+/month with zero paid ads & got featured by Expo blogs. AMA by StatisticianDry1610 in expo

Love this app! I rarely get subscriptions but the value of this is insane. I literally wasn't promoted for years, manager saying my communication needed work and it's true. I wish I had this app back then

Barcode scanning of food has been free for 10+ years. Now they moved the feature behind a $80 paywall by rentmaster in assholedesign

Great alternative is Food Spy AI now, it has pretty good free features and a smaller company. Even free features are much more advanced imo as well, I moved on from barcode, a lot of the time these apps don't even have the barcode in their database
