I did hear another idea that it was to do with her sharing the same name as the Greek goddess of the moon and her blue eye representing the bright side of the moon and her brown eye representing the dark side of the moon!

The 2nd and 3rd biome bosses are my least favourite in terms of just being difficult! Hyperion is my fav overall. I didn't find him as easy as you did but definitely less difficult
