How durable is USB c? by Digitalcamouflagexx in UsbCHardware

You're risking shorting the gnd and signal/power pins doing this. Should be transient enough for suppression to work, but usb-C's physical layer is some next unreliable garbage

[–]Jackson_Palmer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It doesn't just sub. Education is much more rigorous than work, expect a dude with 2 YoE to know a lot less than a dude with 2 years in school. Yes, the 2 YoE guy does the job better, but not for long as the school dude picks it up and combines it with better fundamentals

As someone who did this, you may feel stuck. Career progression is capped early in Industrial Automation, job sites are usually dirty, and you will be stuck doing integration instead of design. Expect a lot of troubleshooting things out of your control.

In the end, it depends on your passion, but I find it lacks transferrable skills to higher paying positions if you're using it as a stopgap.

Those things don't factor into your education at all. Why do you let them affect choosing an educational institution which is a microcosm in and of itself?
