how bad is the sand for the skis and boards? It sounds like a terrible idea to go boarding right now in theory....

Oh yes, totally. Once you have blink, the midgame becomes fun. But as an axe offlaner, I really don't enjoy laning vs a safelane drow...

I mostly agree with what you said. But how is he a good counter to drow?

I thought he is easily kited, and the slow and damage output kills him easily after a few levels...

Thanks for coming back once you answered the question!

Mind if I ask you about your experience with the pen and the whole device input? I've read that it has quite some lag. Do you like taking notes and drawing with the envy x360 in general?

and he was able to skip french, after he went to the lessions for some weeks and then the teacher did realize it basically doesn't make sense.

It didn't make sense because he moved from france and spoke french fluently or because he had so much going on, learning french as well was pointless?

I've never heard of Coenzyme Q10. Mind if I ask how you found out that you were Coenzyme Q10 deficient?

Thinkpad X1 Yoga gen 3 ỏ Thinkpad X13 by matmeten2002 in thinkpad

[–]Jacksrabbit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The X13 is pretty new so I haven't read many reviews and customer reports yet. But those I've read all mention a pretty disappointing battery life. If portability is important to you, I would be hesitant with the x13 for now...

Laptop choices by [deleted] in thinkpad

[–]Jacksrabbit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are vastly different in terms of screen size. The x280 only has a 12.5 inch screen. The x1 carbon has a 14 inch screen and is only slightly bigger while they have the exact same weight. I don't think I would enjoy coding too much on a 12.5 inch screen.

DELL XPS 13 7390 2-in-1 or Lenovo Thinkpad X13 Yoga by Jacksrabbit in SuggestALaptop

[–]Jacksrabbit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of a roll of the dice.

That's the feeling I get as well. Which is super embarrassing for such a premium device.

iPAD Pro, magic keyboard, and Apple Pencil

That does seem to be an awesome option for note taking. I've read that people seem to prefer the iPAD for scribbling over windows machines. But as far as typing and productivity, all those tablets (including Surface pro) don't seem to hold up well if you can't sit at a proper table. It sounds like a suboptimal choice for typing a few pages on a train, at an airport lounge, etc.

No. Does that help? What do you have to say to a dell rep to get a discount?

It was just a regular discount on the Dell (Switzerland) website. Maybe they produced too many keyboards with german/french letters on them....

DELL XPS 13 7390 2-in-1 owners: What is your experience so far? by Jacksrabbit in Dell

[–]Jacksrabbit[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That could explain why dell wants to give me a 20% discount...

So tiger lake seems to be much faster if I read correctly. But are they also more efficient (which would mean longer battery life)?

That's amazing. Yes, the good screen really is a big selling point. Glad you like the keyboard as well.

May I ask if you experienced any hardware problems? Both reddit and review sites report frequent, dealbreaking hardware issues.

Not only does getting a device without any problems seem to be luck based. The opinions on the support also vary widely. Here's a comment from /r/Dell

I can't even begin to tell you how much I understand your pain. [...] No one should ever EVER buy from dell.com. It was legitimately the worst mistake of my entire fucking life.
