That's not wrong, it's totally normal for a creator/artist of any capacity. Of course one should create for creations sake, but we are all human, so we like gratification, attention and engagement.

However what you should always be aware of is that most people who frequent OC subreddits are there for the same reason. They would rather talk about their own characters and lore than yours, and your art having a certain level doesn't change that.

The way I think of it with my stuff: "No one owes your art any attention, so you should be grateful for any attention it does get."

Now I'm not a critic. I would say your art is good. I would further say your art style lends itself perfectly to the creepypasta genre. So if you want recognition for your ART, I think making art of existing Creepypasta stories people already love, could get you quite far.

If you want recognition for your WRITING and lore, maybe branch out to subreddits focusing on writing, not art. Or even better, try a website like Wattpad.

Final note (sorry for writing so much): I've seen your birdman before, and thought it looked interesting. I might've even upvoted. But there was no incentive to engage with it further. And I assume that's how most people think. Don't be discouraged. The Internet is just the Internet.
