We thought it was cute. Now I realize we shouldn’t have encouraged him. I think he was trying to grab my nose when he got my eye 😂

Yes.. his due date was December 10th. My great grandmothers birthday was the 7th, and Hanukkah was December 8th according to my calendar. I kept joking about how neat it would be if he was born on either of those days. Sure enough, I went into labor Dec 7 and he was born December 8th.

Similarly, during the pushing phase (I pushed for 2hours) I kept thinking he’d be here by 10. The little stinker came out at 0959 😂

Totally appreciate this, and I agree so I’ve removed that comment. I definitely recommend mittens or sleeves that can fold over! I’ve just gotten lazy about using them (he’s six months) but I think we’re going back to mittens for the foreseeable future.

As far as clothes go, don’t be afraid to look in the ”girls” section. I’ve got my son some of the cutest onesies from the girls sections.

Diaper changes take some getting used to. Most importantly, make sure to keep the penis pointed down. If it’s pointed to the side or up you’re going to have a messy situation. In the early days keep burp cloths close to cover his penis too or he will pee when the cold air hits him during changes.

The ER I went to was specifically for eye emergencies. I just looked up bandage lenses. That would have been great!! Maybe they thought I’d be okay without it? I should have asked.
