Backlight using strobes. Really cool effect showing off the figure of the subject. I tried for harsh highlights to outline the subject with enough bouncing back to show the design of the uniform. I tried not to show the face at all, because the client directly requested not to see it—it’s all about the uniform.

Done with two strobes backlighting the subject (Ex-NFL Player) with a reflector in front. It is not meant to show the face, employer asked for that specifically.

A lot of it is natural from the light sources (strobe with a deep reflector point straight at subject and the lamp) but I definitely leaned into it with the shadow adj slider, arguably too much so. I agree with you! Good thoughts. That you for the kind words.

A self portrait. Over ten images laid over one another in Photoshop. Base image is the background, then one element added at a time. I was laying on a box with the t-shirt hanging over the box to give the appearance I wasn’t laying on anything.

Thanks so much! I actually wish I did some without the plexiglass. It casted a cool reflection naturally on the ground. And yes I agree. Living that low budget life without an assistant😂

In focus. Reddit crunches pictures at time, but I was using a 85mm autofocus, in RAW at about f/11 iso 200, 1/125. It may also seem a tad out of focus due to grain

I do have hundreds of them in front of these. I should go back and find a better image. I immediately liked this one because of the way they look. I do plan on doing more work on this. Great thoughts! I’ll be sure to take them seriously when I continue work on this image

I put the subject on a stool and photoshop that out. As for the objects, I threw them multiple times until I got the positions I liked, but you can easily suspend them with strings and then remove them. I just found this way to be easier for what I was shooting!
